Epoxy Resin HT 2 is suitable for impregnating glass, aramid, and carbon fibres* and for bonding wood, metal, foamed polystyrene, etc..

*Owing to its low surface tension the system exhibits good filler absorption properties. And it has excellent wetting properties with respect to reinforcing fibres of glass, aramid, and carbon.

Epoxy Resin HT 2 is a laminating resin of very low viscosity based on bisphenol A/F. The bisphenol F component reduces the viscosity and prevents the resin from forming crystals at low storage temperatures (less than + 5 °C).

Epoxy Resin HT 2 is diluted with a difunctional reactive compound and is free of solvents and fillers.

The system is highly transparent and yields in conjunction with finished glass fabrics (Finish FK 144/FK 800) highly transparent laminates with
good light fastness.

Processing time: 45 minutes

Mixing ratio:
100 : 48 parts by weight of resin to hardener
100 : 55 parts by volume of resin to hardener

Curing time: 24 hours

Epoxy resin L with the corresponding hardeners is the most frequently used laminating and bonding resin from the R&G product range.

Epoxy resin L with Hardener S has similar mechanical properties to the laminating systems commonly used in aircraft construction.

Processing time: 15 minutes (100 g / 20 °C)

Processing:
It can be processed in all common processes such as hand lamination, pressure and vacuum impregnation as well as pressing and winding.

Properties:

• Extremely low-viscous (Mixing viscosity 250 mPas at 25 °C)
• Highly transparent (Colour index < 1 Gardner)

• Glass transition temperature (Tg) > 85 °C (post-curing at 70 °C / 15 h)
• Ambient curing does not result in brittleness (at 20 °C)

The resin component itself is absolutely free of crystallization due to its Bisphenol A/F base! The resin system is ambient curing and develops no distinctive brittleness even at curing temperatures below 20 °C.
However, in order to improve the mechanical and physical properties, we recommend heat curing at a minimum of 40 °C for 15 h.

Processing times with Epoxy Resin L depending on the proportion of hardener GL 1 / GL 2*:

*Both hardeners can be mixed as required. The mixing ratio of 100: 30 resin to hardener remains unchanged.
